My story begins with experiencing firsthand the overwhelming confusion and isolation that can come with perimenopause. I too was faced with a multitude of symptoms and feeling unsure of where to turn when my symptoms were at their worst. This then started my journey of seeking a safe, consultative and supportive community, and I found that it was not that easy to find.
The awful night sweats, the brain fog, the weight gain, the sore bones, the depression, irregular and very painful periods, and other symptoms piled on top of me and what felt like all at once. I was in such a bad way, and the worst part was no one was talking about it! I felt very alone, and I just knew women needed more support and help understanding what was going on.
Now move to 2025, I decided to become an accredited peri/menopause coach and so I created ‘Canberra’s Menopause Coach’. This is designed to give women a community where they can find understanding, expert guidance, and the encouragement they deserve, and someone local with lived experience and genuinely have care in the forefront of every single unique woman.
